SantaYEG – Delivering Compassion

December 21st, 2017

A wonderful local group SantaYEG organized to accept warm Winter wear at Original Joes and State&Main. These generous donations were matched with a warm meal for the less fortunate.

I was a collection hub for my Community and collected many bags of warm clothing & blankets. I also volunteered to document one of the Delivering Compassion events.

Items were sorted first by type, then by location to one of the many shelters and charity organizations. Food was prepared ( roast beef and cheese sandwich, 2 brownies and soup.) 600 meals were made this particular day. Then the delivery began.

Thank you to SantaYEG and the generous donators and volunteers. Edmonton is a caring city. Apparently they are collecting donations and making deliveries until the end of January. Please support this great local cause.

Epic Winter Family Sessions

December 16th, 2017

This amazingly mild Winter we are experiencing in Edmonton this year meant that I was able to photograph many more families than usual. The conditions were/are still so warm. Thank you for trusting me to capture your adventures.

Winter Sessions

November 11th, 2017

I know it seems so far away, but Christmas is around the corner. If you are interested in creating family photo Holiday cards, the absolute deadline is the end of November.

Since the locations will be outside, I suggest a mini session ($125 for 20mins) instead of the regular session. All indoor locations in Edmonton need to be booked which is the clients responsibility.

Crestwood Celebrates 100 years as a Community League – Edmonton Event Photographer

September 19th, 2017

The Crestwood Community League celebrated its’ Centennial Birthday with great festivities! The event included the unveiling of a special book of the heritage of the community. There was a fun parade, a penny carnival, swing dancing performances, speeches, dinner, dancing and a spectacular display of fireworks. Thank you to  the board, donations from local businesses and the many volunteers.

The parade included vintage cars, emergency vehicles, local businesses, clubs/teams and of course a lot of decorated bikes & pets! These kids will remember this parade for a long time (& the fist fulls of candy thrown!)

Now this is one happy dog !!!

After the parade, Crestwood enjoyed a Penny Carnival – snow cones, face painting, fish pond, popcorn, sack races, limbo competition, cotton candy, photo booth, plinko, exploring a firetruck, glitter tattoos, arm wrestling and balloon creations … all for free!

This was also a busy time for reunions, meeting new friends and playing in the amazing playground.

Swing dancing demonstration and speeches soon followed before a delicious free dinner and celebratory cake(s).

It is always so wonderful photographing our Mayor Don Iveson and lovely first lady Sarah Chan.

The dynamic & talented pyro technicians (AKA fireworks peeps)

This is from my session earlier today:

Newborn Details – Edmonton Family Photographer

August 20th, 2017

A newborn is a special work of art. Each baby is unique and beautiful. I love to capture the details of the hair and wrinkles. (Yes, posed family photos are taken as well.)

I love the lines in this lovely image of a little girl who already has her Grandpa wrapped around her finger … well, ok, SHE is wrapped around HIS finger here!

Hawksley Workman – Taste of Edmonton

July 24th, 2017

I had the honour of photographing Hawksley Workman at the beloved Interstellar Rodeo at the Hawrelak Park amphitheatre a few years ago. He is bringing his talent and charm Wednesday to the Taste of Edmonton festival in Churchill Square. If you have the opportunity to check him out, GO!
